These extended handles allow maximum comfort and leverage for a range of caregiver height's. Consider this option if there will be multiple attendants of different heights. These Convaid extended handles will reduce strain on a taller caregivers back and wrists while making it easier to manuver chairs up and down hills and stairs. Height Adjustable Flip-Up Armrests

Armrests may be positioned at varying heights.

This armrest can be adjusted up or down on the chair and also flip up for easy entering and exiting the chair, as well as for easy chair fold and transport. Lower priced poor quality chairs do not offer this option and might have only a fixed height. This might interfere with transfers and might not be at a correct height to provide you with optimal arm support. Our wheelchairs are designed and extensively tested by us, as a result of this extensive testing, our mobility aids meet and in most cases exceed WC19 performance requirements. 3-Pt Postion Belt w/ Depth Adj Crotch Strap

Adjusts to keep the individual securely in position. This 3 point belt with Depth Adj Crotch Strap has been meticulously crash tested to make sure it will live up to Convaid standards. Custom Seat Depth Extension 3"

Seat Depth Extension extends the seat depth by 3 inches for adult and pediatric adaptive seating on custom wheelchairs. It's available on the Cruiser, EZ Rider and Convertible wheelchairs. Foam Wedge

This general purpose foam wedge can be used to modify seating, positioning or posture. Use this wheelchair general purpose foam wedge to modify seating angle,  pressure points, and foward-back positioning posture. It can also be used to prop the head forward, increase or decrease hip and knee position. This foam wedge Measures 15" depth x 9" wide x 4".

Heavy Duty Reinforced Upholstery

Reinforced padded seat and back, fitted with removable ABS stiffeners. Use when extra firmness is required. Upholstery removes easily for washing. Standard on Safari Tilt, Scout and Cruiser Ready models. Not Available on Rodeo. Required with anatomic back option.

Angle Adjustable Footplates (Pair)

Footplates can be moved fore and aft, sideways, and rotated vertically and horizontally.

Foot Positioners

Adjustable Velcro ® straps hold feet in position on footplates. Straps can be positioned to wrap around ankle or cross over foot.

The new Reducer Seat Insert was specifically designed to provide proper positioning in an oversized wheelchair!  The Reducer Seat Insert is a cushion that easily slips into the seat of any chair to reduce the seat width 2 inches.  The ribbed surface is comfortable and promotes airflow.  It is water resistant, lightweight, and folds flat for storage.

Solid 8"x 2" Front Tires (2)

Choose our 8 inch diameter by 2 inch wide wheelchair tire for a more "roll-over" effect due to the 2" larger diameter. Caster Lock (Available on 2" wide tires only)

Caster locks hold the swivel wheels in a forward facing position. This prevents the wheels from turning side to side when being used on rough terrain.

Headrest Cover (Canopy)

This detachable canopy provides protection from sun or rain. Includes clear observation panel and canopy  storage bag. Convaid wheelchair canopies are practical , sturdy and lightweight. These high quality canopies secure to your wheelchair and act as protection from the elements. As a convenient alternative to holding your umbrella while trying to operate a chair, our canopies are a very easy to use and fold. Stay cool on hot, sweltering days and stay dry in  the rain. This wheeled travel bag is great for transporting your chair on planes, trains, in vans or buses. Constructed of heavy duty Cordura fabric, it comes with two-way zippers, pull handles at both ends and an adjustable carrying strap. One size fits most wheelchairs. Available in black only.
