5 POINT HARNESS - SAFER TRANSPORT FOR SMALL KIDS!
The new crash tested 5 point harness is NOW SHIPPING on the Cruiser 10 and Cruiser 12 Transit models. This new 5 point harness proved safer for kids under 65 lbs. in WC19 crash tests. It provides similar protection to the 5 point harness of a child safety seat restraint system. We plan to design and test this occupant restraint system for our other product lines. Read the article written by Miriam Manary, Senior Engineering Associate at the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute, which was also published in Exceptional Parent Magazine.

Crash-Tested Foam Tray
To reduce the risk of potential injury in a motor-vehicle crash, an individual should not be transported with a tray mounted on their wheelchair. But in circumstances when it is absolutely necessary, Convaid now offers a Crash-Tested Foam Tray. This tray is available on the EZ Rider, Convertible, Scout, Mountee, Rodeo and Safari transit models.

SAFARI SENSIFORM CUSHIONS
Whether you're looking for moderate support, positioning support or seating alignment, there is a Sensiform cushion to fit your needs. The Safari Support cushion is a flat cushion with a waterfall front. This cushion comes standard on Safari Tilt models. The Safari Position cushion provides medial thigh support and an anti-thrust shelf. The Safari Align cushion is designed for lateral pelvis and lateral thigh support. All three designs are made with high quality poly foam, a rigid wooden insert, and feature a removable/washable Darlexx® cover. The Sensiform cushions are available in 12", 14", 16" and 18" seat widths. The Sensiform cushions have been successfully crash tested with the WC-19 compliant Safari transit model chair. The cushions have been tested in conformance with the CMS Wheelchair Seating Policy and have been code verified by the SADMERC. The Safari Support Cushion HCPCS code is E2601 and the Safari Position and Safari Align Cushion HCPCS codes are E2607.

The new Occi-Flex headrest can be configured to almost any position - it moves vertically, laterally, and from front to back, offering stable head support where you need it. As a plus, the headrest comes with a universal mounting plate so it can be used on any compatible chair.

The Profiler
Advanced pressure point relief made easy. Now there are no excuses for allowing pressure points from flat or improperly contoured seating to compromise skin integrity. The Convaid Profiler, with its patented "cat's cradle" system, is an excellent choice for those with moderate to severe scoliosis, kyphosis, lordosis, or asymmetry of the back. The chair’s back support is made up of several individual straps that are easily adjusted to contour to the shape of the user’s back. A comfortable padded cover goes over the straps during fitting and use. When needed, the straps are easy to readjust for growth or changing posture, making the Convaid Profiler a great alternative to traditional molded seating systems! The Planar
This is our newest lightweight, compact-folding dependant mobility system with a 30-degree fixed tilt. It is equipped with a solid seat and back, firm lateral trunk supports, and a contoured headrest. It provides a solid base of support to enhance posture and provide comfort for longer periods of sitting. The modular back, contoured headrest, and adjustable lateral trunk supports provide multiple configurations to accommodate growth. The seat depth will grow up to three inches. And because the solid seat and back are easily removable, the Cruiser Planar offers the folding convenience of an umbrella "stroller".
