Convaid | R82 shares an open letter from NCART, asking that you join us in support of H.R. 3730.

Please read:

CRT Stakeholders and Friends,

Congress is finalizing year-end legislation this week, so your voice is needed NOW!

Yesterday the NCART Board of Directors made 44 Congressional visits in support of the passage of H.R 3730 as part of Congress’ year-end activity.  The bill directs Medicare to stop applying Competitive Bid pricing to accessories/components of complex manual wheelchairs.

Contact Your Member: Call the Capitol Switchboard at 202-224-3121 and ask for the office of your House Representative (if you’re unsure, the operator will be able to tell you who your Representative is).  When connected, ask for the staff person who handles “health care” and deliver the following message (feel free to personalize as you’d like).

Message: “Passage of H.R. 3730 this year will protect access for people with disabilities who rely on complex manual wheelchairs.  The bill has broad bipartisan support and I’m asking the Representative to let House leadership, Ways & Means Committee leadership, and Energy & Commerce Committee leadership know that he/she supports this bill for inclusion in year-end legislation.”

You can get additional information at  We hope you’ll join us in delivering this message to Congress.  Thanks for making this a priority and calling your member tomorrow!
