As it does every year, Convaid | R82 looks forward to this weekend’s Pediatric Therapy Network Halloween Ball to be held at The Depot in Torrance, CA from 4-9PM this Sunday where we have donated a pediatric wheelchair, an R82 Wallaroo child restraint, award-winning R82 Scallop take-everywhere special needs seat and have spent the past couple of months helping procure auction items by volunteering on PTN’s silent auction committee.
Hosted by Chef Shafer of The Depot, the Halloween Ball takes place under a “ghostly” tent in Torrance to be attended by 800 costumed guests at the annual fundraiser benefits the children of Pediatric Therapy Network. The PTN Halloween Ball will feature dinner, a hosted bar, live music, a costume contest and one of the best live and silent auctions in Southern California.
Last year PTN celebrated its most successful Halloween Ball in the history of the organization where supporters helped raise over $240,000 in proceeds where the event’s popular wine wall sold out as did the Tahiti vacation package that is back again this year.
PTN reminds that 1 in 6 children born in the U.S. has a developmental disability while 1 in 68 has a diagnosis of autism. PTN helps children with special needs and medical conditions, from birth to 22 years, by providing therapies that increase each child’s abilities so that he or she can live a fulfilling and independent life.
