Event organizers adopted the moniker was “make a difference” and write, “Three simple words, when strung together are not so simple. Yet every day, you make a difference for your clients. Perhaps you assist your client to reach a new level of independence. Perhaps you help your client with personal care, so that they can face their day with dignity. Perhaps you offer a smile to someone who is sad, or hold the hand of someone who is afraid. You make a difference every day for your clients.”

Participating at this annual event was Convaid’s Business Development Manager, Charles Larose. Charles shared that the event showcased a great number of workshops as well as a tradeshow where Convaid exhibited its latest pediatric wheelchair, the Trekker, along with other staples of its product line, including the Convaid Cruiser, Convaid EZ Rider, Convaid Rodeo and Carrot 3 special needs car seat.

The Keynote Presentation was delivered by Martin Latulippe, a Social Entrepreneur, Philanthropist and Author, who was inspired to pursue his dream of becoming a professional speaker and author in the fields of inspirational leadership and human potential. The catalyst to his career was a brush with death while captain of the Canadian university men’s hockey team at

the 2001 Universiade in Zakopane, Poland, where his throat was slashed by a skate. The difference between life and death was a few mere millimetres that gave this Canadian professional speaker the gumption to enter this field straight out of college without a penny to his name, and with no credibility or experience, to quickly establish himself as one of the most sought-after experts of his generation.
